       We will contribute to the SDG 13 (CLIMATE ACTION) by searching for microorganisms that reduce nitrous oxide, which has a greenhouse effect about 300 times stronger than carbon dioxide, and by elucidating the molecular mechanism of nitrous oxide reduction.
    

       The United Nations has designated the decade starting in 2021 as the "Decade of Ocean Science," with the aim of contributing to SDGs. Ocean science, as defined by the UN, includes the field of fisheries.
