On March 30, 2022, the naming and launching ceremony for the Training Ship Ushi-Maru was held at Niigata Shipbuilding Co.

The launching ceremony was performed by the president's daughter, who severed the "Shikou" (rope). Here, for the first time, the new Training Ship Ushio-Maru was born. (Until now, it was just a block of steel and not a ship.)
