Midwater trawl 【Instructor: HASEGAWA】

Midwater trawl is a fishing gear used to catch fish living in the surface and midwater. In this training, we will mainly catch mackerels and sardines. After the catch, the length and weight of each type of fish will be measured.

Fishfinders & Sonar【Instructor: HASEGAWA】

In order to determine where to put your fishing gear, you need to know where the schools of fish are. Fishfinders and sonar are useful for this purpose. The red reactions in the figure indicate schools of fish such as mackerels and sardines, and the midwater trawl is towed in order to catch these schools of fish.
