ダルス
学名:Palmaria palmata
北方系紅藻で北海道と本州北部太平洋岸に分布し、潮間帯下部から漸深帯の岩上に生育。12～4月に繁茂する。葉は楔形、扇形、羽状に分枝する。葉は膜状から革質、明るい紅色から濃い紅色で、体長5～30 cm。巨視的な四分胞子体と雄性配偶体、微視的な雌性配偶体が存在し、異型世代交代を示す。紅色タンパク色素のフィコエリスリンを多く含み、高血圧抑制や抗炎症作用があり注目されている。欧米ではサラダ、スープに入れる。
