Sea urchin is loved as a luxury food.
The Faculty of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido
University is conducting a sea urchin cultivation demonstration test.
Sea urchin cultivation is not only for the
stable production of delicious sea urchins.
In this course, we would like to convey the
ecological significance of the sea urchin aquaculture demonstration test as
well as the effects of sea urchin-induced rocky shore denudation and its
impact on the ecosystem.
In video 1, we will first explain the
morphology, structure, and physiology of sea urchins in an easy-to-understand
manner, and in video 2, we will show you the process from sea urchin
cultivation to processing.
