• Practice of Bottom Trawl Net and Ocean Observation in Mutsu Bay

  • Students will experience and learn about biological research in enclosed marine areas on the training ship Ushio-maru
  • Students will understand the performance of marine observation equipment and biological collection gears, and learn how to analyze the data obtained.
  • Students summarize their findings and gain a better understanding of the interactions between coastal ecosystems and the marine environment.
  • As practical knowledge, students are expected to understand and adapt to the onboard work environment and the onboard living environment, and learn how to evacuate in an emergency and how to ensure safety.
