The Department of Marine Biology provides studies in biology (primarily ecology, taxonomy, behavior, biological oceanography, conservation biology, and fishery resources) and environmental chemistry (chemical oceanography).
The curriculum of the Department of Marine Biology is rich in field experiences. In addition to biology experiments, students also conduct experiments in environmental chemical analysis.
