Shokuto (Meal duty)
At Oshoro-Maru, the kitchen staff prepares delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff members who serve the meals and clean up are called "shokuto" (meal duty).
There are three meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we work in shifts on a rotating basis.
*Specific Tasks
Before meals
1. Wipe the table
2. Prepare chopsticks and cups
3. Serve meals prepared by the kitchen staff.
4. Serve rice and miso soup.
After meals
1. Wash dishes and put in dryer
2. Deal with leftovers.
3. Wipe a desk
↑Washing dishes
↑Putting in the dryer
After the meal, the work is usually done over a period of about 30 minutes.
When I was too busy observing to do my meal duty! When I was too busy to observe, I would ask someone else to switch to the other person and we would work together!
↑Lunch one day
The food allowance is a little easier because there are fewer plates.
↑One day dinner
Dinner is a bit of a burden because there are more dishes and sometimes there are pots and other dishes that are hard to wash.
↑Curry Day
It's so hard to wash on curry day. ( ;∀;)
