The fundamentals of organic chemistry, from research on natural products of biological origin to organic synthesis, are reaction, purification, and identification. In addition, physiological functions of organic compounds are also important in the fields of aquatic chemistry and food chemistry. In living organisms, even slight structural changes can lead to major changes in biological activity, so rigorous purification and identification are extremely important techniques for understanding the functions of compounds. Therefore, in this experiment, lipids are mainly used as materials, and the objective is to acquire the following basic techniques and knowledge.
① Acquire knowledge of basic techniques in handling organic compounds, their principles, and organic reactions.② Acquire knowledge and skills in the extraction and purification of natural organic compounds.
③ Acquire knowledge and skills in the analysis and identification of organic compounds by equipment.
④ Know the physiological functions of organic compounds by testing their bioactivity.
The main focus of this experiment is to actually work with one's own hands. Therefore, to the extent possible, this experiment was conducted by individuals rather than by groups.
