    • Half-width yen-mark ¥ and backslash \
      Although the display is different, they have the same meaning on the program.


      ¥ is the yen mark. The first letter of Yen is added a double line to  (It resembles a $ dollar sign.)

      The ¥ mark can be used on a computer only when the input characters are specified in the Japanese environment in the software.

      On Japanese keyboards, there is a ¥ in the upper right corner.

      In an English environment, the same place on the keyboard is a backslash ( \ ).

      In this LASBOS Moodle, half-width alphabets are in English environment, so please note that half-width ¥ (← entered in full-width) is not displayed and becomes \.
