The Division of Fisheries Engineering, Graduate School of Fisheries Science, Hokkaido University is conducting research on fish farming management systems using IT and ICT technologies.
For efficient aquaculture, it is necessary to study the breeding method and formulate a management plan, which requires monitoring of the growing fish and accumulation of data on the training environment and growth. At the same time, we are building an "aquaculture simulator" that predicts the growth of growing fish using the data obtained from monitoring.
By integrating these fish farming management systems, we aim to build a tool to support decision-making by producers in terms of both cultivation and management.
