    • I want to edit illustrations created with GMT


      We installed GMT, created a map around Japan, and verified its operation.

      Do you want to freely edit the diagrams output to PDF? Using Adobe Illustrator is convenient, but it costs several thousand yen every month, so why not try free software?(Illustrator is indispensable for jobs that involve exchanging illustration data with publishers and printing companies...)

      There is a free software called Inkscape. You can open and edit a PDF like the one on the left below in Inkscape (bottom right).

      ・Install and start Inkscape.

      ・Drag and drop the PDF figure file onto the Inkscape screen

      ・Select the picture displayed in Inkscape and press "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "G" to ungroup it.

      Check the bitness of your computer's OS (almost all modern PCs are 64-bit), then download the installation file and install it on your computer.
