Our results suggested the involvement of snare
up-regulation in olfactory imprinting and/or olfactory
memory retrieval. These results also indicated that snare
up-regulation reflected distinct roles of salmon snares during neural development or imprinting.
From this study, we provide the molecular basis of core SNARE complex
components during salmon migration, with a future purpose of revealing the
pre-synaptic mechanisms involved in olfactory imprinting.
